Park University launched a varsity eSports program in the Spring of 2019. Park became the first college/university in the Kansas City area to offer a varsity eSports program. The University also built a state-of-the-art gaming area — “Parkade” — in the Academic Underground.
With the new program and new gaming space, marketing and branding were needed to give the program it’s new aesthetic before launching.

Admissions for Park University, or any university for that matter, requires an abundance of marketing, recruiting, and event planning to keep students coming through the door and retaining those who have enrolled in the university.
As Senior Designer of the Marketing team for Park Admissions, Carlos worked closely with senior directors and directors, student counselors, the digital marketing team, and recruiters. As a whole, marketing strategies and campaigns were worked on yearly. Projects, timelines, and recruiting events would fall into place after our focus for the year was determined.
Materials included emails, student packets, promotional items, viewbooks, social media images, outdoor marketing, partnership marketing, mailers, and apparel.
Big shout out to Making Movies! Love the music and members, they are family after all. I began working with Making Movies editing the press photos of Rubén Blades and the band for the first single from ameri'kana, "No Te Calles" and am responsible for the look and design of the physical cd and vinyl packaging for the album. Other projects for the band included show posters, social media posts, and web ads.
Robbie Turner, one of Seattle’s notable queens. Appeared in season 8 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. I became friends with Robbie shortly after moving to Seattle. It was a pleasure working with her on the “Robbie Turner Revue” shows, star feature at the Hard Rock, Seattle. Hilariously sharp and super fun to be around. My work with Robbie mostly included show posters and social media art.
Mr. Cepress. Another good friend that I’ve had the pleasure of knowing from Seattle. An artist at heart and all-around bright and inspiration to be around. I also had the pleasure of working with Michael on his self titled album release this past 2019. We worked together on his album art and marketing materials.
